Sergey is the key co-founder and key shareholder of Sovcombank. The Bank is one of the top 5 players in the Russian debt market as an arranger and an underwriter of corporate and municipal bonds.
Sergey Vladimirovich Khotimskiy was born in 1978 in Moscow. In 1999 he graduated from the International University in Moscow (IUM), majoring in law (jurisprudence).
Sergey Khotimskiy entered banking in 2001, when he and his partners acquired Buikombank, one of the smallest banks, based in Bui, Kostroma Oblast, which later was renamed Sovcombank. Currently, Sergey Khotimskiy and his brother Dmitry own over 30% of the Bank's shares, and he himself directly participates in the operations management of the credit institution, holding the position of First Deputy Chairman.
Sergey Khotimskiy is the founder of Future Now, a charity that supports orphans and foster families. Owing to cooperation with the local government of Kostroma region, the number of orphans and children left without parenting and in need of family has decreased from 450 to 215 in three years. The amount of funds raised by the Fund for the "I Want Home" charity project has reached over 100 million roubles.
The main hobby of Sergey Khotimskiy is cane collecting. Nowadays his collection is one of the biggest in Russia.
